Our Story
Live & Loop Designs began with a simple problem: following a complex lace knitting pattern.
Knitting has been a part of my story from the age of 6. I wanted to knit so badly that I went on the hunt for sticks to use as knitting needles so my grandma could teach me. From there, my childhood curiosity quickly became a lifelong joy shaped by years of working through detailed patterns and months- or years-long projects. Over time, one challenge kept returning. I would easily lose my place mid-row, especially when tackling longer or more intricate patterns.
Years later, while my grandmother was in hospital, I agreed to complete her final, unfinished project: a lace bedspread. Frustrated while trying to follow her handwritten instructions and constantly losing my place, I was convinced there must be a better way.
When the search for a solution turned up nothing, my frustration sparked an idea. I needed a solution to read patterns clearly, stay organized, and maintain momentum without constantly losing my place. After much trial, engineering, and testing, the Row Reader was born! My goal isn’t to reinvent crafting, but to make it smoother, more focused, and more enjoyable. It’s my hope that the Row Reader does the same for you!

The Row Reader was created through testing, refinement, and hands-on use. Every design decision came from real experience – what works, what doesn’t, and what actually helps during a project.
From the adjustable viewing window to the fold-over cover that becomes a stand, the focus has always been on function. It’s built to support written or charted patterns, fit easily into project bags, and maintain comfort during long crafting sessions.
